We danced our way into Term Three with the return of Derby Day. 620+ Blades athletes headed to UEA to show them what we’ve got. We might not have won the day, but we won hearts with our team spirit, party energy and determination.

Our incredible athletes always give the crowd a reason to #BackTheBlades!

Anne Bernard

Anne won a prestigious national Coronation Champion Award for her services to volunteering and got to attend the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle.

The second year law student volunteers as Communications Officer in two of our VTeam projects, Animal Protection and Green Thumbs.

We’re run for students, by students ⚡️

We introduced Student Ideas your new online platform where you can submit your own ideas to the SU. Your fellow students will then vote on the idea and if it receives enough votes, the SU will get started on bringing this to life.

Partaaaay Time

Term Three was another busy one in Sub Zero! Here are some snaps, see if you can spot yourself… 👇

Exam Mode On

As part of #ExamModeOn we put on a series of events to help you get out into the fresh air, take a break from studying and interact with others. Including a petting farm, an ice cream giveaway, smoothie bikes, a BBQ by the lakes and a mocktail giveaway.

We hosted Study Sessions with SU Makes, three times a week, so you could chill, do some crafts and study with other people.

You guys turned up in your 100s and we hope these helped alleviate the stress of exams!

su Makes

This year saw the launch of SU Makes and it has proved to be incredibly popular with students looking for more slower paced daytime activities.

A real community has been built up around ‘makers’ and there have been over 40 different craft sessions since October, some in collaboration with SCO events – such as bracelet making for Lunar New Year and a special parent and carers session.

Awards Season

We held four separate events to celebrate staff, sport, societies, sport, rebel, volunteering and student representatives. Well done to all those who received an award 👏
